Global Web Limited Exhibits on DTI Stand

8th May 1995 DTI is launching a NeuroComputing Web service at this month's Control and Instrumentation Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.

Designed to provide UK industry with an online information resource about neural computing, the new service is sponsored by DTI under the three year Neural Computing Technology Transfer (NCTT) programme.

The NeuroComputing Web developed by Global Web Limited will promote Technology Transfer and improve prove the competitiveness of UK industry by providing easier access to sources of commercially beneficial information about neural computing.

According to Ray Browne, NCTT programme coordinator:

"The Web service offers many benefits to UK industry. The service provides an ideal vehicle for promoting awareness of the technology, publicizing active suppliers and encouraging the exploitation of neural technology by UK commerce and industry. It will also provide an international showcase for the commercial and academic expertise available in the UK and we expect it to encourage UK companies to explore the potential of on-line information systems."

DTI will provide a managed on-line service offering commercial strength information such as: software and document archives; on-line discussion groups: regional information; applications demonstrator clubs and technology transfer information.

The system will support two categories of user - individual and institutional. NCTT programme will also implement archive and support services including on-line conferencing and discussion groups.
