RGU Placement Student Opportunity

Background
Global Web Limited (GWL) is pleased to offer a Robert Gordon University (RGU) placement student opportunity. The successful placement will get involved in work at all levels of the company. This will probably include general administrative work (mostly web-based), software development, face-to-face interaction with clients and an opportunity to contribute to the management decisions about the strategic direction of the company.
Responsibilities
- To undertake programming/development work on internal and external software development projects.
- To manage the GWL web-based task management system and report on activities. This requires a methodical approach from a person who recognises the importance of data/task management to the success of the company.
- To liaise with clients on project progress, using the task management system as source.
Skills
The successful student will have the following skills/knowledge:
- Good inter personal and communications skills
- Familiarity with e-mail and web technologies
- Java programming and databases knowledge (useful)
Range
The successful student will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and participate in the delivery of the following projects:
- Development of Intranet and Extranet Sites
- Development of an On-line Client Analysis/Customer Mapping Suite
- Development of an On-line Marketing Tool Suite
- Development of an On-line Process Modelling Tool Suite.
