Great Progress Being Made In Malawi

The IT team at Nkhoma Hospital have made fantastic progress under very trying circumstance with the Scottish Government funded project.
Weather has been the main issue with many road becoming almost impassable due to the level of water lying from the rains.
Never the less all the rural health centres now have solar panels and networking and most have computer equipment with the health management information software loaded and ready and many of the users have been trained and are starting to record the patient information on the database.
The project can now only go from strength to strength improving the care of everyone in the communities not just the mothers and babies.
Work continues on improving the data collection and reporting at both the hospital and the health centres over the coming months.
